General Information and Safety Rules |

Welcome to Pacific Rod & Gun Club. We
are very proud to have maintained a perfect safety record since the Club
was established in 1928. All Members and Guests are required to
observe the safety regulations which follow. Enjoy your day
shooting at Pacific! |
| Types of Guns Allowed |
Shotguns Only |
- 12 gauge, 16 gauge, 20 gauge, 28 gauge, and .410
- Minimum barrel length is 20 inches
- No extended magazines!

| Types of Shells |
Target Loads |
- By order of CA Regional Water Quality Control Board, only STEEL or
BISMUTH shot shells are to be used at this facility.
- Absolutely no magnum or high base shells!

Sportsmanship |
- Please practice sportsmanship at all times and follow posted
rules.

| Alcohol/Drugs |
Prohibited |
- No alcoholic beverages allowed on shooting fields.
- No person under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be
permitted to use the facility.
- No illegal substances are allowed on Club grounds.
- Infractions of these rules will require removal from the property.

Gun Safety
- KEEP THE ACTION OPEN when not shooting.
- When placing O/U and S/S shotguns in the gun rack, state that they
are empty.
- KEEP MUZZLE POINTED TOWARD GROUND or in a safe direction--DOWN
RANGE OR SKYWARD.
- EYE & EAR PROTECTION must be worn AT ALL TIMES while shooting
and by SPECTATORS within the confines of each shooting range/field.
- Non-shooters keep to the rear of the fields behind the
fence. Children must stay behind the fences unless
"Junior-shooters" shooting under the supervision of a
parent or adult.
- When a CEASE FIRE is called, UNLOAD SHOTGUN IMMEDIATELY and obey
all range commands.
- If a shot shell fails to fire after the trigger is pulled (hang
fire), DO NOT OPEN THE GUN ACTION FOR AT LEAST 30 SECONDS!!!!!!
- PLACE DEFECTIVE AMMUNITION IN CONTAINERS marked "Defective
Ammo" located on fields.
